Let Chef Franco Malgioglio transport you to Sicily. Franco has designed an 8 course tasting menu as an ode to his Sicilian heritage. His menu is certain to tantalise the tastebuds. Firstly on showcase, a variety of appetisers & entrees including arancini, involtini of sardines, salsiccia e olive & bruschetta. Pastas are up next with a housemade gnocchi all norma & Spaghetti alla Siciliana. Pesce spada, a traditional Sicilian swordfish served with accompanying salads then rounds out the savoury component of the degustation. House made ricotta cannoli ensures the evening concludes on the sweetest of notes.
With the menu in mind, our Sommelier and cocktail mixologists have curated the perfect Sicilian inspired matching beverage menu. Each course is complimented by a Sicilian sourced prosecco or wine. Of course, it wouldn't be a meal at Basement without a cocktail so we have included a selection of Sicilian inspired cocktails.
