Get ready to stretch, wag, and maybe make a small dent in the record books. On Saturday the 26th of June 2026, the City of Gold Coast is teaming up with She's Spicy for a morning that promises to be equal parts soothing and silly: an attempt to break the world record for the largest dog yoga class ever held. The current record is 408 dogs, which frankly seems low for a place with as many beach-loving pups as this one. So bring your four legged friend, even if their idea of yoga is lying down and occasionally rolling over for a belly rub. The session is beginner friendly for both humans and dogs, so if your mutt has never done a downward dog (irony noted), that is fine. They will probably just be in it for the treats and pats anyway.

This event also marks the start of Go Gold Coast Month, the city's annual celebration of getting active, outdoors, and somehow still connected while doing it. Think fitness, wellness, and general movement stuff that makes the coast feel like a giant playground. If you want to join the record attempt, register now. As for getting there, public transport or active travel is your friend because parking might be as limited as a golden retriever's attention span. For metered spots, use the EasyPark app to avoid fines, because nothing ruins a historic yoga session like a parking ticket. More details on the City of Gold Coast's parking page if you are into that sort of thing.
