Ever stared blankly at a computer screen wondering if it is judging your lack of digital prowess. Well, good news. TAFE NSW is putting on some beginner computing sessions at Wallsend Library. You will get a proper TAFE teacher who knows their stuff, ready to guide you through the mystical world of basic computer programs and how to actually find things on the internet without getting lost down a rabbit hole. They will even help you figure out a good spot for your own study space and tackle simple spreadsheets or whip up a basic document without breaking a sweat. No need to bring your own device, so leave that dusty old laptop at home. They have got you covered.
After the class bits are done, the teacher will even hang around to give you a hand with your own personal tech quandaries, which is pretty handy. Just remember, this whole shebang is for adults keen to get their digital ducks in a row. It is absolutely free, presented by the good folk at TAFE NSW, but you do need to book your spot beforehand. Also, a heads up for your calendar: there will not be a session on Monday the 11th of August, so do not rock up then. If you have any specific access or inclusion needs, just let them know when you are booking and they will sort you out.
