Imagine this: Ren McCormack, fresh from the bustling streets of Chicago, arrives in a sleepy little town where they've decided that dancing and rock music are as welcome as a bad hair day. Ren's not exactly thrilled about this strict no-fun policy, and with some help from his buddy Willard and the fiery teen Ariel, he's determined to shake things up a bit. But beware, Ariel's dad, Reverend Shaw Moore, is a dance-hating force to be reckoned with and quite the roadblock on Ren's quest for some toe-tapping fun.

This highly entertaining musical is packed with '80s classics like "Holding Out For a Hero," "Let's Hear it for the Boy," and of course, the iconic "Footloose." With extravagant production value that makes you wonder if the set designer went toe-to-toe with a neon factory, not to mention a lineup of talented musicians from Newcastle, you'll be more than just a spectator—you might find yourself shaking your own proverbial groove thing. Suitable for the entire family, this Senior school production runs for about 2 hours and 20 minutes, including an interval for those necessary snack refuels. So, come out and cut loose—just be ready for a bit of dance-off drama you didn't see coming.
