Immerse yourself in a world of words and be inspired!

Lake Macquarie's annual Write Here program invites writers and readers to hear tips, tricks and tales from local and visiting writers across a range of genres and media.

Write Here celebrates and supports local authors and provide networking opportunities for emerging writers and avid readers.

Some highlights of 2024 include:

– Masterchef winner turned best-selling author Julie Goodwin in conversation with journalist Jessica Rouse

– Comedy workshop with comedian Mandy Nolan

– Live Music Lake Mac concert with Emma Donovan

– ‘What Shapes Our Lives' with local authors Damien Linnane and Craig Semple

Other featured authors include Julie Janson, Cadance Bell, Karen Viggers and Dinuka McKenzie.
