Jude Bowler slips back into the skin of a Marlene Dietrich who's bored out of her blonde wig and madder than ever, delivering a droll and twisted cabaret tribute that's equal parts homage and cheeky reinvention. This award-winning character comedienne teams up with her piano-playing mate Frankie Bouchier for at Newcastle Fringe 26, dishing out withering one-liners and storytelling that can have you chuckling or reaching for tissues with just a flutter of her eyelids. It's a slick set of ultra-cool contemporary songs filtered through the queer gaze of Hollywood's ultimate icon.

Catch it at The Royal Exchange Theatre on 32 to 34 Bolton Street in Newcastle from 25 March to 29 March 2026. There's a bar on site, and disabled access is available, though you'll want to check with the operators for the specifics.
