Sammy J's bringing "The Kangaroo Effect" to Newcastle. Ever wondered how a bloke ends up at a 40th birthday party dressed as a giant kangaroo? Sammy J aims to unpack that particular mystery in his show, exploring just which butterfly flap, or misstep, led to such an iconic wardrobe decision four decades down the track. It sounds a bit like quantum physics but with more pouch gags and probably fewer equations.

Apparently, he's considered an endlessly creative talent by some, which is nice. Though Kyle Sandilands, bless his cotton socks, had a rather different take, branding him "a deluded flog". So you can decide for yourself, really. Expect a bit of everything: some stand up, a few songs, and probably a few yarns. Just a heads up, it's recommended for folks aged 15 and over, and kids under two are probably better off staying home for this one.
