Reclaim celebrates artists who have had or are living through traumatic brain injuries that directly impact their art practice. This exhibition was first launched in September 2020 and aims to showcase artists reclaiming their practice and provide a platform to professionally produce and exhibit their artwork. Newcastle Art Space have started discussions with HMRI to explore opportunities to work together on future Reclaim events. As part of this process HMRI Researcher Dr Heidi Janssen will be giving a brief overview on opening night on the role of the arts in recovery after a brain injury
