Ever fancied trying your hand at life drawing but feared your stick figures would judge you Playstate on Fern, nestled in Islington just a hop from Beaumont Street, holds these sessions every other week in their new warehouse digs. It's a casual affair where a live model strikes a pose for you to capture on paper, or at least give it a good go.

They provide drawing materials if you're traveling light, though feel free to bring your own cherished art supplies too. They rotate the model each fortnight, so there's always a fresh face, or body, to inspire your artistic pursuits. Plus, contemplating the human form can be thirsty work, so do bring along your favourite drinks and a few snacks. Seriously, whether your skills are gallery ready or you just enjoy a bit of a doodle, everyone's encouraged to join in the fun.
